1. The position of mould 3D design has been consolidated
 
The 3d design of die is an important part of digital die technology, and it is the foundation to realize the integration of die design, manufacture and inspection. Some methods adopted in the mould 3d design abroad are worthy of our reference. 2. The role of CAE in stamping forming process is more prominent
 
In recent years, with the rapid development of computer software and hardware, CAE has become more and more important. In the United States, Japan, Germany and other developed countries, CAE technology has become a necessary link in the mold design and manufacturing process, widely used to predict forming defects, optimize the stamping process and mold structure, improve the reliability of mold design, reduce the time of die test. Many domestic automobile mould enterprises have also made remarkable progress in the application of CAE and obtained good results. The application of CAE technology can greatly save the cost of test die and shorten the development period of stamping die, which has become an important means to ensure the quality of die. CAE technology is gradually changing the mold design from experience design to scientific design.
 
3. Digital die technology has become the mainstream
 
The rapid development of digital die technology in recent years is an effective way to solve many problems in automobile die development. The so-called digital die technology, is the computer technology or computer aided technology (CAX) in the die design and manufacturing process of the application. To sum up the successful experience of the application of computer aided technology in automobile mould enterprises at home and abroad, the digital automobile mould technology mainly includes the following aspects: (1) Manufacturability design (DFM), that is to consider and analyze manufacturability in the design to ensure the success of the process. 5. High-strength steel sheet stamping technology is the future development direction
 
High strength steel has been increasingly used in automobiles due to its excellent characteristics in flexural strength ratio, strain hardening, strain distribution and energy absorption in collisions. At present, the high strength steels used in automotive stamping parts mainly include paint hardened steel (BH steel), dual phase steel (DP steel), phase change induced plastic steel (TRIP steel) and so on. ULSAB predicts that 97% of the materials of the advanced concept vehicle (ULSAB -- AVC) launched in 2010 will be high-strength steel, and the proportion of advanced high-strength steel plate in the whole vehicle will exceed 60%, among which the proportion of dual-phase steel will account for 74% of the vehicle steel plate.
 
The mild steel series mainly based on IF steel will be replaced by high-strength steel series, and high-strength low-alloy steel will be replaced by dual-phase steel and ultra-high-strength steel plate. At present, the application of high-strength steel plates for automobile parts in China is mostly limited to structural parts and beam parts, and the tensile strength of the materials used is mostly below 500MPa. Therefore, mastering high strength steel plate stamping technology quickly is an important problem to be solved urgently in China's automobile die industry.
 
6. Timely launch of new mold products
 
With the development of automobile stamping production and automation, progressive die will be more widely used in the production of automobile stamping parts. Is a kind of new and high technology of progressive die mold, technical difficulty is big, manufacturing high accuracy requirement, production cycle is long, multi-station progressive die is one of the focus on the development of mold products, shape of complex stamping parts, especially some vice die according to the traditional process need more points sequence system of small and medium-sized complex stamping parts, progressive die forming are used more and more.
 
7. Mold materials and surface treatment technologies will be reused

In recent years, in addition to the continuous introduction of a variety of high toughness and high wear resistance cold die steel, flame quenching cold die steel, powder metallurgy cold die steel, the choice of cast iron materials in large and medium-sized stamping die, is a noteworthy development trend. Ductile iron has good toughness and wear resistance, its welding performance, machinability, surface quenching performance is also better, and the cost is lower than alloy cast iron, so it is more used in automobile stamping die.
